VoteSource
VoteSource is a nonpartisan informational website designed to raise voter turnout and help people understand the voting process. It uses clear language and custom infographics with a neutral palette that avoids red and blue to stay far from party cues.
Scope and goals below outline what I delivered and why:
- UX research to identify questions and pain points around registration, ballots, and deadlines.
- Information design with customized infographics and simple illustrations that explain each step.
- Design production in Figma, from wireframes to polished comps with a calm, neutral color system.
- Development using semantic HTML and SCSS, responsive layouts, and readable type scales.
- Accessibility choices including strong contrast, clear hierarchy, and plain language.
Toronto Cupcake
Toronto Cupcake is a redesign for an existing bakery that wanted a modern online shop while keeping its original brand feeling. I focused on a warmer visual system, clearer product discovery, and a checkout that feels quick and friendly, all while respecting the logo, colors, and voice that customers already know.
Scope and goals below show what I delivered and why:
- UX research with a light audit of the current site and competitor review to learn what helps users choose flavors and order faster.
- Information architecture to simplify navigation, product categories, and filters for mobile first use.
- Design production in Figma with updated type, spacing, and a component library that preserves brand cues while feeling current.
- Ecommerce flow including product card patterns, detail pages, cart, and a shorter checkout path.
- Development in semantic HTML and CSS with attention to readability, accessibility, and performance.
Mood Vault
MoodVault is a mobile app concept for the next wave of the web with AI woven into the experience. It was a team project with Justin Birkamaier. We created the concept together. Justin focused on the logo design and UX research. I led most of the UI design and user flows.
Scope and goals below summarize our work:

- AI integration for smart prompts, trend detection, and gentle suggestions that support better habits.
- Research by Justin, including a light study of needs and pain points, and early feature priorities.
- UI design by me, with the visual language, component system, and screen layouts for key tasks.
- User flows for onboarding, quick entry, history, and insights, built as interactive Figma prototypes.
- Handoff with clean specs and asset prep to make future development smooth.

- Research led by my teammate with interviews and quick surveys to map motivations and barriers.
- Information architecture for events, clubs, messages, and profile so students can find the next step quickly.
- UI design by me with a friendly visual language, component library, and consistent spacing and type scale.
- User flows for discover events, join a club, RSVP, and share updates with peers.
- Prototype in Figma with micro interactions that support the feel of momentum and community.
- Engagement features such as recommendations, reminders, and simple progress cues to nudge participation.
